My rail planter doesn't fit my railing perfectly, what can I do?Updated a year ago

Our Countryside Railing Planters are meant for standard 2x4 (3.5" wide) or 2x6 (5.5" wide) flat railings. If your railings are curved/domed or are not 3.5 inches or 5.5 inches wide, you may still be able to use them. And if your railings measure the correct width but still move around a bit, don't worry! They'll become secured after filling them with your plants and growing media.

The 2 main options you have to secure & stabilize loose rail planters without tools or mounting them are:

  1. Use some kind of wedge or shim, like small pieces of wood, to fill in any visible gaps.
  2. Use a Bungee cord or similar to wrap around the planter and your railing.

Keep in mind those 2 methods should not be required as long as you have flat railings that are 3.5" or 5.5" wide.
